Obituary for MARCIA (MARKY) GARD

Marcia (Marky) Cooper-Gard of Folsom Ca went to be with her Lord on April 30,2017. Marky was born on June 30,1933 in Sioux City Iowa.

Following a divorce Marky married Donald E Gard of Folsom Ca.
Marky lived a very exciting life! Her hobbies included bowling,golfing,knitting baby hats,quilting,painting, sewing circle,lady's bible study,reading,movies and more.

Marky was also a brilliant artist. She was active in the art abandonment project. She was naturally gifted at whatever she laid her hands on. Marky's current project was Palomar clay jewelry. Marky loved the Green Bay Packers and never missed a game.

Marky was close to her children and granddaughters. She loved to spend time with them. She loved animals too , her favorite two are Mazie and Herbie which she spoiled.

Marky is preceded in death by her son Steven Grant Cooper in 1972. She is survived by her husband Donald E Gard, two children Susan (Jim) Cavrikas , Sandra (Mike) Scariot and two granddaughters Elizabeth Aloisa and Rebekah (Gabe) Rodarte.

Marky will be greatly missed for her sense of humor,sharp witt and amazing intelligence.

Marky was well loved in the Folsom community for over 50 years and never met a stranger.
A celebration of life will be held on her birthday June 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Community Bible Church where she attended church services in Folsom CA at 601 Natoma Street. Officiating the celebration will be her Pastor David Huusko.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be given to The Sacramento S.P.C.A
