Obituary for Wesley Marvin Ritchie

Wesley M. Ritchie, age 67, lost his battle with cancer on February 19, 2018 in Roseville, CA. He was born December 26, 1950 to the late Bernard and Chessie (Cannon) Ritchie in San Jose, CA, being the oldest of four children. Growing up, he loved to wear his French beret hats, hence his friends nick named him “Frenchie”. During the early 80’s he had a band in San Jose named “The Buckwheat Boys”, once competing in battle of the bands at Cowtown, where he also worked as a bouncer. He always loved music and was an avid collector of vinyl records. He was an accomplished musician on the guitar, loved to read, and a creative artist.
He worked many years carrying on his father’s business as a house painter. He then obtained his Real Estate license, and worked as a property manager for M&M Real estate Company in Sacramento. He was well liked by his co-workers and friends. His colleagues and friends stood by him throughout his illness, providing him love and support.
He leaves behind his two sisters, Vickie (Barry) Marloff, and Michele (Joe) Panora. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Chessie Ritchie, and his brother Steven Ritchie.
He will be laid to rest in a Mausoleum Niche at Lakeside Cemetery in Folsom, CA. Date and time to be announced at a later time.
