Obituary for Scott E Gerhart

With great sadness, Scott E Gerhart, born April 11,1948 in Montgomery Alabama, passed away November 27, 2017 in Folsom California of pancreatic cancer. He will be missed every minute of every day by his family who loved him so much. He was a wonderful person, loving husband, dad, grandpa and brother. He was a US Airforce Veteran who proudly served his country for 38 years. During that time he was a B-52 navigator, a navigator trainer, a Squadron Commander and in charge of base closure for Mather AFB. After the closure of Mather he was the Community Support Flight Chief at Travis AFB and was on the Board of Directors for Heritage Community Credit Union. After retiring from the military, he was a tutor for children of all ages. He loved to teach and help people. His favorite times were taking his family to Hawaii and Christmas. Scott is survived by his loving wife Sherri Gerhart (who were married for 46 incredible years), loving daughter Christie Gerhart, loving granddaughters Kelsie Gerhart and Taylor Itza-Smith, loving grandson Jaxon LeBlanc, loving son-in-law Brian LeBlanc, loving brother Barry Gerhart and loving sister Jan McGraw. Donations in his honor can be made to Hospice. He was the guy in his flag shirt and flag pants in town, running around, always so energetic and so proud. We will all be together again. Until then Rest In Peace my dear husband. You will always be in my heart and thoughts. I Love You!
