Staff members of Miller Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of the utmost importance to our staff.

Josh was raised in East Africa where his parents did missionary work. After graduating high school there, Josh attended Duke University where he graduated with a degree in economics. After marrying the love of his life, Ashley, they began teaching at a private boarding school in Oregon. He went on to work for a nonprofit aimed at bettering the foster care system before joining the family business. Josh is passionate about caring for people during difficult times in their life. When he’s not working, Josh likes playing sports, walking his very large dog, and eating korean BBQ.

David has nearly 10 years of expericence in the customer service industry. He started out helping his father in the shoe repair business. From there he went on to work in the education field teaching at-risk teens and special needs students. Through these industries, he has developed a hard work ethic and caring service which has transferred over to the funeral business. David has been dedicated to serving each family with genuine care and does everything in his power to meet their needs. On his down time, he enjoys playing sports and studying ancient history. David is also devoted in serving at his church. Two things he cannot live without are sweets & quality coffee.



Wendy Schneider is an experienced preneed and aftercare counselor who enjoys working with families to memorialize the lives of their loved ones. She graduated from Sac State with a B.A. in Child Development. After many years as a professional parenting speaker and writer while also raising six children, Wendy sought a career change. While working as a newspaper reporter, she wrote about a funeral director friend and his experiences as a mortician. Her fascination with his work coupled with her lifelong love of cemeteries prompted her to pursue a career in funeral service. In May 2018, Wendy married her high school sweetheart in Paris and the two currently reside in Placerville, CA.

As a native Californian born in Long Beach, Larry started and operated a successful textile and hard floor service business for 48 years in the South Orange County area. He has been happily married for 56 years to his high school sweetheart, Eileen.They have 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Retiring in 2012, he found his new calling at Miller Funeral Home. He finds it to be an honor and a privilege officiating services and ministering to the hurting families that come entrust us with their loved ones.
Greg is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who is now retired from AT&T. He and his wife, Dotti, have two sons and six grandchildren. Greg has a Bachelors degree in Counseling Administration from Sac State and has been active as a ministry leader at 180 Church for over 15 years. He proudly follows his father Don Chapman who worked for Miller Funeral Home for 20 years. He is devoted to assisting families by officiating personalized Memorial Services or Celebrations of Life for their loved ones.

Bill Douglas moved from Southern California to Sacramento to attend McGeorge Law School in 1983. After thirty-one years as a lawyer, he retired as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California. Bill and Diane have married for over thirty-three years and they have a daughter, Jackie, who is an enviromental biologist. He loves fast cars, music, and play bass in his church's worship band. Bill has a kind heart and a gentle spirit, so feel free to approach him with your questions or requests.
